Short Bio

Erica Green Cureton was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She attended South Carolina State University and graduated with honors with a degree in Elementary Education. She received her Masters at Grand Canyon University with a Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading. Erica has been an educator for 12 years. She has been writing since she was a little girl from poetry to short stories. Once she began to grow spiritually she began to write Christian fiction stories. She currently resides in Lancaster, South Carolina with her husband and three daughters. Erica is currently hard at work writing her next novel, Loving God's Son.

Creative Voices for Authors: Meet Dr. Arlene Dowdy

Short bio

Dr. Arlene Dowdy is a 1985 Tar Heel graduate.  She credits her parents, her faith in God, her career as an educator, all the books she read from her hometown library, Given Memorial Library in Pinehurst, NC, and international travel for her knowledge and understanding of life, people and our sometimes- scary world. In 2009, she received the surprise that changed her life.

Writing has been Arlene’s hobby and passion from a child.  She doesn’t understand how anyone can be bored, because ideas and stories live in her mind.  Arlene brings these stories to paper, her people, then to the stage, the screen or a book.  She entertains, inspires, and encourages people of all ages.

Creative Voices for Authors: Meet Shannon Spruill


Shannon Spruill released her first book on December 1, 2010.  “My Reflection in the Mirror” is a look at some personal demons that she had to overcome.   After the death of her son Brian, she released her second book, “The Shattered Mirror: Picking up the Pieces.”  Because she felt that both these books were her personal testimony, she published both books combined.
           Shannon released her 3rd book on April 22, 2017, Forbidden To Tell, and her 4th book was released  September 25, 2017.  She is also the CEO and founder of SMS Write On Publishing, LLC.
