90 Day Prayer Challenge

God desires for us to come together in unity. Which is why I challenge each of you to join me with the challenge and to share it with others. God has a process set for how and when he will answer or prayers. It is important to remember that we must pray without ceasing even when we do not receive immediate results.
If your looking to jump start your prayer life or take it to the next level then I invite you to join the challenge. I desire for you to email me what you are looking to receive as you work through the challenge and when you have finished it to please send me an email and share your story of what you have learned. I love hearing how prayer  has blessed and changed someones life. With your permission I would like to share your prayer testimony on my site with others as inspiration on why it is important to prayer.
The challenge will include the following:
  1. Thanking God: Began with thanking God for what you already have. By thanking him your heart remains open to hear from him and shows your appreciation for him and unlocks the fullness of life.
  2. Prayer: Prayer is the simplest form of communication with God and it shows that we trust and have faith in his word.
  3. Praise: Praise is the joyful thanking and adoring of God, the celebration of His goodness and grace.
  4. Study the word: Working though the books of Psalms and Proverbs for wisdom and encouragement.
  5. Journal: Journal your prayer request and what you are experiencing through the challenge.
Below find a calendar that includes all the verses that we will cover for the month of November. If you have any questions please contact me at: info@latoyamurchison.com I look forward to hearing your stories and thank you for joining me for the 90 Day Prayer Challenge

He Loves and Saved Me

He Loves and Saved Me is a poem that I wrote about about 8 years ago while I was starting at the crossroad wonder what I should do next or how I would survive. God has a plan for each of our lives and when we completely submit to him he will give us everything that we too succeed. He will be there to give us direction and he will be there to catch us when we fall. My prayer that in sharing this poem someone is encouraged to keep not matter how things may look.
He Loved and Saved Me
For so long I have felt all alone and wasn’t sure
What to do or what my purpose in life was.
It’s not that I didn’t know what to do it’s that
I wasn’t ready to accept what I knew was my density.
God has a plan for all of us. It wasn’t until I accepted
What he had planned for me that I no longer felt
Empty and I was finally complete after 28 years.
I know that my battle is not over but I am prepared to fight.
I know that No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper.
I learned that those battles are not mine to fight and it will get better
Once I turn them over to GOD. He knows my heart and that I’m
Doing my best. He said to me; HEAR ME WITH YOUR
HEART AND NOT JUST YOUR EARS.
I know that at times it gets rough and you’re not sure what to do.
Just know that I will always be there and that I will
Never judge you. Yes you have experienced a
Lot of storms starting back when you were a young girl.
Yes they were rough and you didn’t understand
Why all this was happening to you.
No you didn’t do anything wrong and it not your fault. They weren’t
Meant to make you weak but to make you the
Strong person that you have become today.
The storms weren’t just for you; but
So that you can go out and speak to my people.
Tell them your story and show them that threw
It all the ups and downs you are still shining with my light.
Help others so that they don’t suffer through those same
Things as you did. Show that there is a light at the
End of every dark tunnel.

A Godly Heart

Writing allows me to express myself through words. Writing became a source of therapy and healing during good and happy times. One day as I struggled through some heath issues I began to cry out and seek God asking for him to lead and guide me in everything I needed to do at that moment. During the process of praying and crying out these are the words and prayer that formed. My prayer is that by sharing this conservation you are lifted, encouraged and inspired to pray to God more.
Jesus
Lord thank you for waking me up everyday. Thank you for loving me when
I didn’t understand how to love myself. Lord I pray that you forgive me for all of my sins.
Forgive me for passing judgment on others. Teach me to have forgiveness in my heart
For those who have done me wrong. As you lead me to the riverside, Lord
I now leave all those trouble behind. I am now looking to my future.
No longer weighed down by my past. Thank you for blessing me with the ability to love.
Thank you for blessing me with the gift of word expression. Lord it took me a
long time to accept the power it holds.
Thank you for teaching me to first crawl and now enabling me to stand tall.
Lord you are the love and joy in my life. Lord I humbly offer this prayer up to you
In Jesus name AMEN.

John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Power in Your Prayers

I started the process for my book entitled: A Praying Heart in August 2014. I have 6 more pages to go and my first draft will be complete. I am so thankful that God has guided me every step of the way. I have prayed to God everyday for guidance in what I needed to include in the book. I was not expecting this to move as fast as they are. I started out this process wanting to encourage others to understand the power of praying to God everyday. A the time I did not realized that impact this would have on my own life. It has made me reevaluate how much and the ways I prayer everyday. Prayer has the power to reverse any situation in your life.
Here is one of my favorite songs that reminds us that there is power in your prayers.

A Praying Heart

I am in the process of writing and publishing my first book entitled A Praying Heart. A Praying Heart is a devotional filled with information to help you build and improve your prayer life. Prayer is one of the simplest ways to praise and worship God with your whole heart. When you are in prayer you surrender yourself mind, body, and soul. A Praying Heart will teach you the importance of speaking to God daily. It will help you to understand the importance of not giving up even when you feel God is not listening. A Praying Heart contains four major sections about praying and miniature sections that include the following:
THE WORD:the word of God should be your foundation in all areas of your life. In this section I will share a biblical based word of encouragement that you can medicate on throughout the day. Psalm 33:4 “For the word of the Lord is right and true he is faithful in all he does.”
PRAYER: Prayer is our direct connection to God; and without it each area of our lives will be lacking. I will share a prayer that you can pray at some time throughout your day to help you maintain and open line of communication with God. Matthew 6:6 “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then you’re Father, who see what is done in secret will reward you.”
REFLECTION JOURNAL: I have provided a space for you to write down your personal thoughts and prayer request for each day. The reflection moment will assist you in applying the concept of what you have learned to your daily prayer life. When you have received your answer you can mark and date it as complete.
My prayer is for you to take the time to read, study, and practice each individual principle so you are able to grow closer to God.
