Hi LaToya Wilson, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little
about yourself and your background?
London: I live in Griffin, Ga, am a wife,
mother of three girls, and a newbie author with seven works published and 1
releasing soon under pen name London Starr.
LaToya:
What are your ambitions for your writing career?
London: To be a household name and known as
a great storyteller.
LaToya:
Which writers inspire you?
London: Every writer that I've had the
privilege of reading their work. They've each contributed to my dream of
becoming one of the great ones.
LaToya:
What are you working on at the minute?
London: The Other Man: Dangerous Love and
Secrets 3
LaToya:
What genre are your books and why?
London: BWWM, I've always had a vested
interest in seeing the races unite since I'm mixed with Blackfoot Indian, and
the interracial market isn't saturated with books.
LaToya:
In 10 words or less can you create a quote that describes you and your writing?
London: An experienced you won't soon
forget.

Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character from your
most recent book?
London: Chris Helmsworth/ Gabrielle Union
LaToya:
When did you decide to become a writer?
London: Age 9
LaToya:
Do you write full-time or part-time?
London: Full time.
LaToya:
Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?
London: I write at night, much quieter.
LaToya:
Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day?
London: No. I don't force my imagination or
craft.
LaToya:
Where do your ideas come from?
London: Life and imagination intertwined
LaToya:
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes
you?
London: I don't outline my story on paper,
but it is outlined in my head.
LaToya:
How do you think you’ve evolved creatively?
London: I write about more taboo topics
that people normally frown upon, simply because it is life and life is messy.
LaToya:
What is the hardest thing about writing?
London: The end. Once I start a tale, I
become invested wholeheartedly, and don't want it to end.
LaToya:
What was the hardest thing about writing your latest book?
London: The topic is frowned upon. Most
don't acknowledge their secret desires for fear of being ousted from their
familiar circles of family and friends.
LaToya:
What is the easiest thing about writing?
London: Giving the characters an
unforgettable personality.
LaToya:
How long on average does it take you to write a book?
London: A week, two at the most.
LaToya:
Where can you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
London: On a movie set, helping to develop
a film for my books.
LaToya:
What advice would you give to your younger self?
London: Go to school for a lot longer.
Learn everything.
LaToya:
Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?
London: Aaliyah; She reached for her dream
and achieved it, and did not turn herself into a sex symbol to do it.
LaToya:
If you could have been the original author of any book, what would it have been
and why?
London : There isn't a story I would rather
have written. It wouldn't be the same story if I had.
LaToya:
What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
London: Develop a thick skin. Not everyone
will love your story, and they don't sugarcoat their words when telling you so.
But, write your story your way. It's yours, and a lot more someones will love
it than those that don't.
