Now at this moment, Gerald began to confess his sins and beg
for forgiveness and mercy. While he was in the spiritual form, he started
trembling and became even more fearful. He asked God to forgive him of his
sins, as he named every possible sin that he could remember. He begged for
mercy as he thought about the unfinished tasks that he had on earth. He asked
God to allow him time to fulfill his dreams on earth, and to make his mother
proud of his success instead of making her shed tears. At that moment, he had
visions of what his future held in store for him, even though it seemed like it
was far away. The scripture of Matthew 18:18 had come to mind which reads,
Matthew 18:18 KJV - Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth
shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven. He envisioned himself completing college, becoming
financially established and secure, gaining a wife and having a family.
